Mr. Deng has been associated with the principals of EFG for over 15 years and has a long career with many valuable relationships in the Chinese rubber industry, particularly in Shandong province, the heart of the Chinese Rubber industry. Born in Jinan, Shandong, China, Barry graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Qinghua University, Beijing. Barry furthered his studies with programs at Dunlop in England, BASF in Germany and courses in marketing and business management from UCLA. Barry had an extensive career with the Shandong Petro-Chemical Industrial Bureau as Vice Manager of the Foreign Economic and Trade Department.
Barry was responsible for study and approval of feasibility studies in the Petrochemical industry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and rubber processing industry. Barry followed this with terms at Guangrao General Chemical Plant where he managed the plant expansion from 100,000 MT to 500,000 MT per year and at Shandong Chemical Import and Export Corp where he managed the purchase of equipment and technology from Dow Chemical, Union Carbide, Goodyear and many other international companies. Barry will also be responsible for development and management of the Technical Support center EFG is establishing in Dong Ying City to assist customers in adapting rubber compound formulations to incorporate EFG products.
